In December 2022, our Founder Shawn Lesser faced a severe mental health crisis, spending time in the psyche ward and attending two mental health treatment centers in 2023, ultimately making a remarkable recovery. Inspired by his journey, Shawn is dedicated to helping others, especially in the finance industry.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, Shawn, the co-founder of the first impact investing investment bank, has organized over 60 investor events. He also founded THE REAL Mental Health Foundation, using the power of conversation and community to help people heal as he did.

 

THE REAL Summit blends his finance expertise with his commitment to mental health, aiming to channel more capital into the mental health ecosystem and support professionals on their journeys.
